Eclipse.
where two worlds meetIt begins always in the same manner, as something that has not yet decided what it wishes to become. An eclipse does not bring darkness. It brings that rare, unhurried instant in which two worlds are permitted to occupy the same space, and what emerges between them could not have existed in either alone.
Eclixar was born of that. Of a long, quiet search for the moment in which scientific reason and transcendent faith cease their pretence of opposition and settle, at last, into a single coherent self. Not a truce. A recognition.
This is not a portfolio. It is the continuation of something that began in 1997, when I first placed my hands upon a keyboard and understood, without being able to say why, that silicon, too, could harbour something resembling a soul.
My first attempt bore the name Eclipse. A modest thing, a subdomain folded inside a world dedicated to Alexiel. Even then, without the words for it, I knew my nature belonged to thresholds, to crossings, to that narrow interval between what one is becoming and what one already is.
Eclixar is what that first seed has grown into: a place where binary logic and baroque sensibility are not in tension, where structure does not resist emotion but holds it, gives it form, allows it to last.
The three stones.
Christian Faith
My moral compass, though compass is perhaps too mechanical a word. In a world that dissolves its own ground, faith is the stone upon which one may simply stand. Not doctrine held at arm's length, but a living conversation between spirit and the things of this earth.
Logic, reflection
The intellect, I have always believed, must be kept like a sacred instrument, not to impose itself upon the world, but to perceive the world with something approaching reverence. Puzzles. Quizzes. The quiet discipline of ordered thought. These are not pastimes. They are a kind of prayer.
Old World Grace
Beauty, to my mind, is discipline made visible. It is restraint, proportion, atmosphere, and the quiet, obstinate refusal to allow the world to become merely loud. One does not pursue beauty. One protects it.
Mind & Spirit
My mind is a place of perpetual crossing, where poetry and logic do not oppose one another but move through the same rooms. I am drawn to Dante, to Leopardi, to Baudelaire. Not out of nostalgia, but because they understood something I have always felt without quite finding the language for: that suffering and beauty are not enemies, that transience and eternity are, in the end, made of the same substance.
And then there is music. Bach for order. Chopin for the particular luxury of a well-held melancholy. Liszt for the audacity of reaching past what is reasonable. Without these, the work would remain surface, correct, perhaps, but without resonance.
Digital Genesis.
My first creation was a small, hidden thing, a fragment of existence tucked inside a subdomain that almost no one found. I called it Eclipse, because even then I understood, in the wordless way one understands the things that matter most, that I belonged to that liminal space between light and shadow. Between what is seen and what persists, just beneath.
Eclixar is not a destination.
It is a threshold, and a particular kind of threshold at that: one which does not close behind you. If you have come this far, then perhaps — in ways that require no explanation between us, you were always going to.
