girls from the internet

Read this slowly. Let the words arrive before you decide what they mean.

some people become familiar before you’ve ever heard their actual voice. #

I was nearly late going out because of MSN. Again. Two girls from Splinder were talking to me at the same time, plus Edo, plus Hikari asking where I was, which created the stupid situation of sitting at my computer telling people I was late because I was sitting at my computer. One of the Splinder girls is from Torino and we started talking because she commented on a music post. Now somehow I know what happened with her ex-boyfriend and she knows which shampoo I use. The Internet accelerates intimacy in a very odd way. You skip all the physical acquaintance stages. I don’t know how she takes her coffee, how tall she is, what her voice sounds like when she’s angry, whether she walks quickly. But I know what she was crying about last Tuesday. Another girl I’ve been talking to loves Christina and thinks Britney is `”manufactured rubbish,”` so naturally we spent half an hour arguing about whether being manufactured automatically makes something bad. Cars are manufactured. Nobody expects them to grow organically in fields. Then Edo sent a file and wrote `LISTEN NOW`, which I ignored because I had to get ready. He sent it again.

I eventually escaped the computer, put on a blue top, met Yuri and went out.

I came home and listened to Edo’s track.

Don’t tell him.

It was good.

Remember me, Eclipse.

Why?

Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
