hello, 2003
I don’t have resolutions. I have a headache, blue nail polish and several things I should probably finish. #
I keep writing 2002 by mistake. I did it twice today already, once on a CD and once at the top of a page, so apparently my brain has refused the software update. Anyway. 2003. Happy New Year etc. I got home late enough last night that today barely counts as a day, and Mom has already made two comments about my sleeping habits while somehow forgetting that she was awake too. I spent most of the afternoon upstairs with the blue Mac on, MSN blinking every few minutes, music playing quietly because my head would have filed a formal complaint otherwise. Yuri called. Dad called from Genova. Tia sent me a message which contained almost no actual words. Hikari is alive. Erick is alive. Everybody survived. Excellent start. I was looking at Eclixar earlier and I think I’m going to change the layout again because December suddenly looks old. This always happens. I make something, stare at it for three weeks, love it, and then one morning I look at the exact same pixels and think who allowed this? I want blue. Lots of it. Not because I am sad, before somebody makes that extremely original connection. Blue because Napoli. Blue because Samp. Blue because the sea. Blue because apparently every object I pick up eventually comes in some variation of it. My hair is very blonde at the moment, which against blue makes me look even blonder, and I like it. Mom says if I keep doing things to my hair it will eventually leave home before I do. She may have a point. No resolutions, as I said. I would like to survive the maturità without becoming one of those people who can discuss nothing except the maturità. I would like to keep my marks where they are. I would like to go to Genova more. I would like to stop staying on MSN until ridiculous hours when I have to wake up early. That last one is already a lie and it is January 1st, so at least we’re beginning honestly.
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
