The Bicycle
Read this slowly. Let the words arrive before you decide what they mean.
I remember when cycling through Amsterdam required concentration. Now I think about dinner. #
My bicycle is not transportation anymore. It is where part of my day happens. I think on it. I listen to music carefully enough to remain aware of everything around me. I plan dinner. I replay conversations. I notice shop windows. I arrive at work without remembering each turn. Three years ago I thought Dutch cyclists possessed supernatural powers. Now I ring my bell with conviction. Character development.
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
