The Lights Are Still On
Read this slowly. Let the words arrive before you decide what they mean.
I know Christmas is over. The lights have chosen not to acknowledge this information. #
The lights are still on. Tree, window, little string I bought in December despite already owning enough illumination to guide aircraft. I came home from work in the dark and saw our window before I reached the door, warm little points of light against black glass, and immediately decided they can stay a little longer. January is dark. This is a practical decision. Entirely practical.
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
