School Returned Like It Owned Me #

School reopened this morning with the emotional energy of a prison accepting returning inmates.

The corridors were freezing.
Everybody looked tired.
Half the class had forgotten homework already.
And somehow Latin still existed despite the millennium changing.

Cruel honestly.

The worst thing about returning after holidays is remembering how early mornings feel. My body rejected consciousness completely until at least second period. H. sat beside me wearing dark blue and looking composed as usual while I internally collapsed over mathematics. I told her: “I think vacations should legally continue until March.” She nodded seriously and said: “Reasonable.” I appreciate people who understand exaggeration emotionally.

By lunch the entire school already smelled like wet coats, stress, cheap coffee, and overheated classrooms. Girls comparing holiday gifts. Boys pretending they did not spend two weeks emotionally dependent on food and television. E. arrived dramatically late and immediately announced: “My soul rejected the alarm clock.”

Again: reasonable.

The strange thing is that routine returns almost instantly. By the afternoon holidays already felt imaginary… Like something watched through glass instead of lived directly.

Still.

When I got home and took off my uniform, the apartment smelled faintly like Angel and coffee and for a moment I felt safe again.

Perfume really does become architecture eventually.

BACK TO SCHOOL.
Remember me,
Eclipse

Why?

Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
