Hardcore tonight. I needed the reset after Valentine’s sweetness. The Viper, Stunned Guys, Tommyknocker in my head, and a CD-R in my bag that Edo helped me identify because half the files I have accumulated are named things like `track07_final_REAL.mp3`, which is not useful archival practice. We argued yesterday because he thinks one track I love is too obvious. I don’t understand this disease people develop where liking something popular within a scene is treated as intellectual failure. If a record is good before ten thousand people like it, why does the eleventh thousandth person destroy it? Same with Britney, actually, just in a completely different universe. I am apparently spending 2003 defending both hardcore and pop from people standing on opposite sides of the same stupid argument.
