H. Notices Things Before They Become Real #
H. predicted a breakup today approximately six hours before it happened. She observed one couple during morning break for maybe thirty seconds and quietly said:
“They already stopped looking at each other directly.” Then by afternoon everybody knew they’d ended things dramatically near the staircase. H. notices emotional shifts before other people even recognize them consciously. Tone changes. Silences. Small hesitations. Meanwhile most teenagers require public emotional collapse before understanding obvious problems. Today the weather in M. looked pale and exhausted and everyone at school behaved strangely restless. February does this eventually. Too much winter. Not enough light. People begin unraveling socially. During history class H. passed me a tiny drawing of Prof. R. transformed into a medieval dictator and I nearly died trying not to laugh publicly. This is friendship honestly.
After school we walked toward the station together while discussing completely random things, music, languages, whether attractive people are happier or simply treated better by civilization. Probably the second one. At one point she suddenly asked: “Do you ever feel older at night than during the day?”
Yes.
Constantly.
THE END.
Remember me,
Eclipse
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
