ten
there are days when the number at the top of the paper fixes your mood before anybody else gets the chance. #
Physics: 10.
I knew it was good when I handed it in, but there is still a particular satisfaction in seeing the number. Mathematics is going well too. Literature is fine. Everything is fine, technically, and yet every teacher can still make us tense by mentioning June. Mom was proud for approximately thirty seconds before asking what I had in another subject, which is such a mother response that I almost admire the efficiency. `”Ten in physics.”` `”Brava. And literature?”` There is no summit. Only the next mountain.
Went out tonight. I deserved it, and yes I would have gone out even if I got a six, so perhaps `”deserved”` is decorative language. I wore navy blue and silver. Yuri called me Bambolina while we were waiting for the others and I realised I no longer have that initial urge to tell him not to. That’s probably how nicknames win. Repetition and emotional blackmail.
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
