hardcore is still home
new music moves into the house. old music still knows where everything is kept. #
I have written a lot about techno lately, so for the record: no, hardcore has not gone anywhere. Tonight proved it. There is a part of me that responds to it before I can start analysing what I’m hearing, and I think that is why I keep coming back. Edo says this is because I have `”proper instincts,”` which is an extremely Edo way of turning taste into a biological virtue. He was online this afternoon and we spent ages talking about Nosferatu and Endymion, then somehow ended up discussing Britney because I told him what was playing in my room and he replied with about seventeen question marks. I made him listen to a Britney song once just to irritate him. He admitted the production was good and then attempted to retract the statement. I have not forgotten.
Tonight was loud and fast and exactly right.
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
