they said maturità before ten
first day back and apparently nobody is interested in easing us gently into our own destruction. #
School again. I knew somebody would say maturità before ten and I was right. Actually it happened twice, so I should have placed bets. Everybody has come back from the holidays claiming they did more studying than they actually did. I know this because Hikari and I compared lies. Mathematics was good. Physics was better. I like being back in those lessons, which is probably an unpopular opinion, but there is something calming about a problem having an answer that doesn’t depend on whether somebody is in a mood, whether MSN is working, whether a boyfriend has interpreted a sentence incorrectly, whether somebody on Splinder has decided to be strange today. Numbers do not post passive-aggressive entries about you. Usually. At lunch Hikari talked about Marico, I talked about Yuri, then we accused each other of being boring and changed the subject. Four minutes later we were talking about them again. Home, tea, four biscuits, study. Mom had two people from work here later and I could hear them talking from upstairs. This happens often enough that our living room occasionally becomes an unofficial branch office. Papers everywhere, coffee, serious voices, Mom moving around in heels and Angel perfume travelling up the stairs before she does. One of her colleagues saw me and asked what I want to do `”after school.”` It is January. Can everybody please allow me to finish the school I am currently attending before requesting a five-year strategic plan? -.-
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
