friday routine
at five: tea. at midnight: bass. there are worse systems. #
I think Friday has developed an actual procedure. School. Home. Throw bag somewhere Mom will later tell me not to leave it. Eat. Do enough studying to feel morally superior to myself. Five o’clock tea and four biscuits. Shower. Shampoo that promises to protect blonde hair and probably does nothing except cost more. Music. Tonight Christina while I got ready, then Garbage when I started hating all my clothes. Yuri phoned while I was standing in front of the wardrobe.
`”Bambolina, are you ready?”`
`”Almost.”`
I hadn’t done my makeup.
This is not technically a lie. `”Almost”` is a philosophical category.
I ended up wearing blue because apparently this is going to be the year in which I dress like a football argument. We went out, met the others, and the first hour was nothing special. Fine. Not bad. Just the sort of set where I keep waiting for the DJ to decide what he wants. Then it finally became darker and I was happy. I am getting more difficult about music, which is either good or unbearable depending on who you ask. Erick votes unbearable. I don’t need every record to be hard; I just need the set to have a reason for the next record to exist. Otherwise we could stay home and press shuffle. Came back late. Mom was asleep. I took my shoes off before the hallway because I am capable of learning. MSN was still on. One girl from Splinder had added me. I accepted and then immediately thought, Alice, it is nearly three, do not begin a new conversation. We talked for forty minutes.
Excellent discipline.
Remember me, Eclipse.
Why?
Because every thought leaves a trace. If something moved you, disturbed you, softened you, or made you think, leave it here, quietly.
