Twelve years of blogging sounds almost archaeological now. I started before everybody’s online life was funnelled through the same few shapes. I liked pages with fingerprints. I still do. I like knowing where the code lives. I like changing something myself. I like archives that do not disappear because a company decides a service has reached the end of its life. Maybe that is why essencedemoi.com still matters so much to me. It isn’t only where I publish. It is one of the longest objects I have ever made.
